As an experiment in different forms of storytelling, Ms Noir was created to explore my own vulnerability as a performer and challenge audience perception on how femininity is presented on stage. Drawing from both the styles of modern burlesque practices and burlesque poetry as a form, Ms Noir was born.

Inspired by the darker goddess characters in mythology, Lilith, the Morrigan, Pomba Gira, etc… The alter ego as a mode way of challenging our own perceptions of what our bodies and voices are free to do without the challenge of self-censorship.
